Overview
Restaurant Closure Monitor displays emergency restaurant closure data from Florida DBPR public records. We do not require accounts and do not sell personal information. This site is not directed at children under 13.
Information we collect
- Browser storage: Appearance preference (light, dark, or system), filter selections, and recent search terms are stored in your browser (
localStorage and a theme cookie). This data stays on your device and is not sent to our servers.
- Server logs: Netlify may log IP addresses and request metadata for hosting and security. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers on this site.
- Email alerts: If you sign up, we store your email address and your selected region/county preferences to send batched closure notifications via Resend. You can confirm, unsubscribe, or edit preferences from links in each email, or request a fresh manage link from the Get Alerted signup modal. We do not sell your email address.
Information we do not collect
We do not collect payment information, government IDs, or health records from visitors. Closure records shown on the site are already public DBPR data.
How long we keep data
- Email subscribers: Your email and alert preferences are kept while your subscription is active or pending confirmation. If you unsubscribe, we mark your record as unsubscribed and stop sending email; we do not use unsubscribed addresses for marketing.
- Closure records: Public DBPR emergency-closure data is retained on our servers for display (currently about 12 months of weekly extracts, as shown on the site).
- Browser storage: Theme and filter preferences remain on your device until you clear site data.

- Resend — email delivery for optional closure alerts
- Google Fonts — web fonts (no account required to view the site)
- Buy Me a Coffee — optional tip/donation widget in the footer; may load scripts from
buymeacoffee.com. We do not receive your payment details through this site.
- Florida DBPR / MyFloridaLicense — source data and inspection report links

Disclaimer
This site is not affiliated with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) or MyFloridaLicense. Data is republished from public weekly extracts and inspection reports and may be delayed, incomplete, or contain errors. Do not rely on this site as the sole source for legal, health, or business decisions. Always verify closures on official state sources.
DBPR inspection snapshot notice
Per Florida DBPR’s inspection terms of use, each inspection report is a “snapshot” of conditions present at the time of the inspection. On any given day, an establishment may have fewer or more violations than noted in its most recent inspection. Inspections conducted on any given day may not be representative of the overall, long-term conditions at the establishment. Because conditions can change rapidly, establishments are not graded or rated.
Violation details shown here come from inspections linked to emergency-closure records. They describe conditions observed during that inspection, not necessarily at the time you view this site.
